Palermo
We introduce you in one of the most charm cities of Southern Europe, as Palermo is, capital and economic centre of Sicily, noted by real travellers for its good Mediterranean weather, its renowned gastronomy and restaurants, its architecture and its colourful night life and music, playing an important role throughout much of its existence. Founded by the Phoenicians, the city was under several different cultures, in order to host a waste number of churches and villas constructed in different architectural styles, as Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque. Beside a wide range of cultural activities, as the procession of the city’s patron Santa Rosalia on, Palermo hosts the largest opera house in Italy, which is Teatro Massimo, a place where the most famous artist during the whole century performed their skills regarding opera, theatre and ballet. A process of recovering was undertaken during the 90’s, therefore Palermo is nowadays a safe city, offering a number of gastronomic references, culture activities and a colourful night life.
